• Business Advocacy

Your voice is critical to ensuring progress on many key issues that affect our business climate and quality of life. Issues such as education funding, transportation funding, economic development programs and numerous other quality of life initiatives are constantly being debated by all levels of government.

The Rowan County Chamber of Commerce needs you to add your voice to the dialogue by contacting your legislators. Most legislators are influenced by an outpouring of support from their constituents. This is where you come in. How can you help?

First, register to serve on the Chamber's Government Affairs Committee. If you cannot come to committee meetings, please ensure we have your contact information for news communications. By signing on, you will be engaged in advocacy activity on key issues facing the Chamber. If you know a member of our legislative delegation on a personal level, we need you! Please contact Elaine Spalding if you are interested.

Second, you can help promote the business agenda by contacting your legislators directly (http://www.rowancountync.gov/GOVERNMENT/Departments/BoardofElections/CountyElectedOfficials.aspx).

Lastly, you might also consider attending a Salisbury City Council meeting, local municipality or Rowan County Commission meeting.

Thank you for taking the time to get involved!
